ZAS Ventures Invests $150,000 in LegalTech Startup Ranking Copilot

Ukrainian investment firm ZAS Ventures has announced a new investment in Ranking Copilot, a LegalTech startup building an AI-powered platform for law firms. The investment firm shared the news with Scroll.media.

  • The total investment amounts to $150,000, including an initial $100,000 and a $50,000 follow-on round.
  • According to ZAS Ventures, Ranking Copilot fully aligns with the fund’s investment thesis: fast-growing, capital-efficient AI products built by Ukrainian founders and scaled globally.

Ranking Copilot was founded in 2025 by Dmytro Fedoruk, a former lawyer at Clifford Chance. The platform is designed to help law firms save time and money by automating some of the most resource-intensive back-office processes in legal business development.

Specifically, the solution automates:

  • submissions to legal rankings,
  • capability statements, and
  • fee proposals.

These processes cost law firms more than £5 billion annually. Large international firms often prepare over 1,000 submissions per year, each traditionally requiring 60+ hours of work. Ranking Copilot claims it can reduce time and costs in these areas by up to 90%.

As of today, the startup is working with 30 law firms worldwide and is actively scaling in Europe, the United States, and the APAC region. Ranking Copilot has also partnered with Chambers and Partners, the world’s leading legal rankings and analytics company. As a result of the integration, preparation time for ranking materials has been reduced from 5–7 days to just 30 minutes.

«Ranking Copilot is a prime example of what we are looking for — a world-class product from a Ukrainian team that uses AI to solve a pressing global problem. The partnership with Chambers gives them an advantage in distribution and trust that almost no early-stage legal tech startup has access to,» said Andrii Zinchuk, founder and managing partner of ZAS Ventures.

ZAS Ventures currently has 18 companies in its investment portfolio.
