GSC Game World has officially announced that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will launch on Sony’s PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro, with a release slated for late 2025.
- The team confirmed that the PS5 version will fully leverage the DualSense controller’s features, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, for a deeper sense of immersion.
- Additional technical upgrades for the PS5 Pro are also in development.
- Alongside the announcement, the developer dropped an official teaser for PS5, featuring a character playing Stalker on the console.
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 originally launched on PC and Microsoft’s Xbox Series X|S in November last year.
- Notably, the game does not include Russian localization. According to GSC Game World founder Sergiy Grygorovych, Microsoft, the exclusive console distributor, supported the decision to skip the Russian market entirely.
