Oleksandr Borniakov to Become Acting Minister of Digital Transformation
As Scroll.media has learned, Oleksandr Borniakov will become the acting Minister of Digital Transformation and will oversee the Ministry of Digital Transformation while a new minister is being selected. At this point, it remains unclear whether Borniakov will move from acting minister to the full ministerial role.

Previously, Borniakov served as Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine under Mykhailo Fedorov’s leadership. He has been part of Fedorov’s team from the very beginning and was responsible for several key areas, including Diia City.
On January 13, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine dismissed Fedorov and was expected to vote on his appointment as Minister of Defense, but was unable to proceed with the personnel vote. Denys Shmyhal was also dismissed, but was not appointed as Minister of Energy.
«There is chaos in the Rada, there is war in the country, and they still cannot vote on a Minister of Defense,» one of the publication’s sources said.
Fedorov held the post of Minister of Digital Transformation for more than six years.
Borniakov’s appointment also suggests that Fedorov’s other deputy, Oleksii Vyskub, will move with him to the Ministry of Defense.
