Ukraine’s Saatchi&Saatchi Wins First-Ever Gold at Cannes Lions

For the first time in Ukrainian history, Saatchi&Saatchi Ukraine has taken home a Gold Lion at the prestigious Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. While Ukrainian agencies have previously earned Lions, this marks the country’s first-ever gold.

The victory was brought about by the project Minefield Honey: Harvesting Hope, also known as Honey from Minefields. The idea behind the project is to draw the global community’s attention to the mass mining of Ukrainian territories.

One of the participants, the agricultural company Kernel, provided seeds and fields. The fields were fertilized using Dronarium drones, and honey was later harvested. The honey was then packaged in jars and sent to Ukrainian embassies around the world.

The project was a collaboration between Saatchi&Saatchi Ukraine, Kernel, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. It won in the Decent Work and Economic Growth category.

Minefield Honey: Harvesting Hope is one of the most successful and award-winning Ukrainian creative projects. It received 175 million impressions and 517 media mentions, all without a budget.

StarLightMedia received a Bronze Lion for the 13th season of the show The Bachelor.
