communications<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It was <strong>joined for the first time by a new partner \u2014 <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tykho.com.ua\/\" target=\"_blank\" at the <strong>IoT Lab<\/strong>, a modern laboratory based at the Department of Radiophysics and Computer Technologies at <strong>Ivan Franko National University of Lviv<\/strong>, where participants had access to all necessary resources for presenting their projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">IoT Challenge 2025: Future Technologies in Action<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ten teams from different Ukrainian cities were selected to participate in the final stage. Over several weeks, they worked on developing functional prototypes in areas such as autonomous navigation, data processing, communications, and object recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u00abCollaboration with universities is an important part of Indeema\u2019s social responsibility. This year, we were pleased to welcome our partners from Tykho, who provided flight controllers and other components. Thanks to their support, students were able to bring their ideas to life using modern electronics made in Ukraine,\u00bb<\/em> commented Dr.<strong> Ivan Karbovnyk<\/strong>, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Head of the Department of Radiophysics and Computer Technologies at the Faculty of Electronics and Computer Technologies of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, and Chair of the competition jury.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The organizers equipped each team with hardware tailored to their project needs \u2014 including controllers, sensors, cameras, communication modules, GPS, LiDAR, and more \u2014 allowing them to work with cutting-edge technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tykho Electronics played a key role in the technical setup, providing flight controllers and <strong>Tykho Krut ESCs<\/strong> \u2014 specialized components developed in Ukraine and integrated directly into the student prototypes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This hands-on format allowed teams to build fully functional prototypes, test them in realistic conditions, and refine their solutions before the final pitch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1240\" height=\"454\" src=\"https:\/\/scroll.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18677\" srcset=\"https:\/\/scroll.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/image.png 1240w, https:\/\/scroll.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/image-300x110.png 300w, https:\/\/scroll.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/image-1024x375.png 1024w, https:\/\/scroll.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/image-768x281.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1240px) 100vw, 1240px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Winners of IoT Challenge 2025<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The final projects demonstrated a high level of technical thinking and engineering ambition:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>1st Place \u2014 Cicadas<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><em>Ivan Franko National University of Lviv<\/em><em><br><\/em>Developed an autonomous drone for territory patrol with real-time object recognition, powered by GPS and video analytics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u00abFirst of all, we\u2019d like to thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine for making events like this possible in such difficult times. We\u2019re truly grateful for this well-organized challenge \u2014 it was a real test and, at the same time, a great opportunity to go beyond theory and work as a team on a real-world idea. For us, IoT Drone Challenge was not just a competition but a platform for turning ideas into reality and connecting with like-minded students from all over Ukraine.
