USF Grant Program Supported by UMAEF Wraps Up: 57 Startups Receive $2 Million
The Ukrainian Startup Fund (USF), with support from the Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund (UMAEF), has completed its grant program for Ukrainian civil startups at the pre-seed and seed stages. The program ran from January 2024 through August 2025.
- Over the course of the program, organizers held 12 pitch days, resulting in 57 startups receiving a total of $2 million in funding.
- USF reported receiving 560 grant applications from startups across various industries, including AI, lifestyle, edtech, manufacturing, energy and ecology, retail, fintech/legaltech, agrotechnology, media and advertising, AR/VR, and more.
- When the program wrapped up, a full list of the 57 grant-recipient startups was announced. Previously, we reported on 13 startups that secured funding during the final three pitch days.

UMAEF, a regional fund financed by the US government, has been investing in Ukraine and Moldova since 1994. Since 2015, it has been running technical assistance programs financed through refinancing and grants. The fund was formerly known as the Western NIS Enterprise Fund (WNISEF).
