The World’s Most Valuable Private Companies in 2025 — Featuring a Ukrainian Entrepreneur

The US remains the epicenter of private giants, hosting 31 of the 50 most valuable companies globally. China is steadily catching up, with a dozen companies making the top 50.

These insights come from a Visual Capitalist infographic, which ranks the world’s most valuable private companies in 2025. The data was sourced from CB Insights, and the ranking is based on the latest reported valuations of private companies worldwide.

  • SpaceX leads the list with a staggering $350 billion valuation, followed by ByteDance and OpenAI at $300 billion each.
  • AI-focused companies dominate the high-value segment: OpenAI is the undisputed leader, with Anthropic ($62 billion) and xAI ($50 billion) close behind.
  • Fintech and creative tools remain major growth drivers, with Stripe valued at $70 billion and Canva at $32 billion.
  • Western Europe is represented by five companies. Three are UK-based, including Revolut, co-founded by Ukrainian Vlad Yatsenko, valued at $45 billion, as well as Global Switch and Checkout.com. Germany contributes Celonis, and Sweden adds Klarna to the list.
  • Australia’s Canva, at $32 billion, rounds out the top ten.
  • Interestingly, the infographic contains a small error: instead of the logo for the American fintech Bolt, it shows the logo of the Estonian taxi service with the same name.
  • Additionally, Visual Capitalist notes that Scale AI’s latest deal with Meta was not included in the initial dataset. That transaction values Scale AI at around $29 billion, which would place it 14th on the ranking.

Recently, we published a ranking of the 50 largest IT companies in Ukraine. EPAM Ukraine, SoftServe, and GlobalLogic Ukraine topped the list by number of specialists. The top five also includes two product companies: Ajax Systems and Genesis.
