Ukraine Ranks Among Top 10 Countries in Stack Overflow’s 2025 Developer Survey

Stack Overflow has released the results of its 2025 Developer Survey, which gathered insights from over 49,000 developers across 177 countries. The survey also included questions about developers’ geography to build a demographic profile. And Ukraine has secured a spot among the top ten countries. This was highlighted by DOU.

Ukraine ranked 7th in the list, with the United States taking the top position. While this doesn’t necessarily reflect the absolute number of developers in each country, it does show how actively engaged Ukraine’s developer community is with Stack Overflow, a key platform for programmers worldwide.

The survey also delved deep into developers’ use of AI. Nearly 47% reported using artificial intelligence on a regular basis, with a significant number placing full trust in AI to assist in their work. That said, 72% of respondents noted they don’t rely on AI for what they called «vibe coding,» a more intuitive, exploratory style of programming.
