DOU has released new salary data for Ukrainian game developers based on 734 survey responses. The findings show that after a period of growth, compensation has slightly declined. The median salary across the industry now stands at $2,300 per month.

- Managers saw their median salaries drop from $3,675 to $3,300, while software engineers’ pay decreased from $3,075 to $3,000. For comparison, the median salary across the broader IT sector is $3,450.
- Salaries for art specialists fell by $250. Game designers, however, saw the opposite trend — their median compensation increased by $240.
- QA specialists’ salaries remained unchanged over the past six months, holding steady at a median of $2,000.

- The median salary for analysts in game development is $2,755. Developers earn a median of $4,000, data scientists earn $4,050, and professionals in the «tech leadership» category earn $6,000. The latter represents the highest reported median salary this winter, although it is based on the smallest number of survey responses.
- In the previous survey, back-end developers in game development were the highest-paid specialists. This time, they rank third, behind server/network programmers and front-end developers.
