Horizon Capital’s Catalyst Fund to Receive €80M from IFC and EBRD

In the summer of 2025, investment company Horizon Capital announced the launch of the Horizon Capital Catalyst Fund SCSP (the Catalyst Fund), a vehicle focused on investing in infrastructure, energy, construction, and other sectors critical to Ukraine’s recovery. The fund’s target size is €300 million.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has announced a €30 million commitment to the Catalyst Fund, while the International Finance Corporation (IFC) plans to invest €50 million.

Both institutions made their investment decisions over the past month, with all documentation expected to be signed in the near future.

Previously, Horizon Capital focused primarily on technology companies and businesses with strong export potential. Its portfolio includes well-known names such as Genesis, Ajax Systems, Rozetka, Aurora, and dozens of other companies.

Earlier, the EBRD and IFC also backed another Ukrainian venture capital initiative, Flyer One Ventures, committing a combined €11.5 million toward its €50 million target. As of now, Flyer One Ventures has raised more than half of its planned capital.
