The Ukrainian Startup Fund Awards $8.2M in Grants — Results in Figures
The Ukrainian Startup Fund (USF) remains one of Ukraine’s most active angel investors. Since its inception, the fund has provided Ukrainian startups with a total of $8.2 million in grants, according to Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation.
- In total, 352 teams have received USF funding, amounting to $8.2 million.
- As of October 2025, startups supported by the program have collectively attracted over $50 million in external investments.
- Twenty-nine startups have reached a new stage of development, team sizes have grown by 35%, and the annual revenue of 44 startups has increased by 112%.
- Between 2024 and 2025, the USF allocated $2.5 million to support civilian startups, receiving 560 applications from 19 industries.
- A total of 57 Ukrainian startups at the pre-seed and seed stages received grants worth $2 million.
«With the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the fund provides startups not only with financial assistance but also with guidance in pitching ideas, improving products, scaling, preparing for investment rounds, and gaining international visibility,» said Fedorov.
In September, the USF launched a new grant program, Startup EDGE, aimed at early-stage startups. The total budget for the program is €1 million. The Startup EDGE grant program is implemented by the Ukrainian Startup Fund, with support from the EU4Innovation East project, which is funded by the European Union, co-financed by the Government of France, and implemented by Expertise France.
The previous USF program, launched with the Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund (UMAEF) to support Ukrainian civilian startups at the pre-seed and seed stages, concluded in early September.
