Ukrainian Miltech Startup OSIRIS AI Attracts Foreign Investment
OSIRIS AI, a Ukrainian developer of the OSIRIS DroneOS software platform for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), has secured investment from a foreign investor, the company told Scroll.media. The amount and identity of the investor have not been disclosed.
- OSIRIS AI operates at the intersection of robotics, artificial intelligence, and defense technology, building solutions that enable autonomous systems to function in complex environments without direct human control.
«We are building a unified ecosystem for UAVs and C-UAVs that connects AI solution developers, microelectronics manufacturers, and users into a global collaboration network — much like Android once unified the mobile world,» said Roman Onishchenko, CEO of OSIRIS AI Ukraine.
- OSIRIS DroneOS is a modular operating system for UAVs, designed for the secure integration of various hardware platforms and for the use of AI modules and cloud computing.
- Built on Embedded Linux, the system supports a wide range of hardware solutions, including STM32, NVIDIA Jetson, Raspberry Pi CM4, Pixhawk, and CubePilot, and features a Docker/OCI container architecture for AI applications.
- Its key features include 256-bit communication encryption, a proprietary App Store, cloud mission analytics, and compatibility with PX4 and MAVLink flight stacks.
In related news, Y Combinator has opened applications for its Winter 2026 batch, which will take place from January to March in San Francisco. Ukrainian startups, including those in the defense sector, are eligible to apply even if their founders are unable to leave Ukraine — the accelerator has confirmed it will make exceptions for such cases.
