Vyriy and The Fourth Law Launch Mass Production of Autonomous Drones

Vyriy, one of Ukraine’s largest drone manufacturers, together with The Fourth Law, a leading Ukrainian developer of autonomous systems, has announced the start of mass production of drones equipped with additional guidance modules, the company told Scroll.media.

  • The new drone line is based on the Vyriy-10, one of the most widely used and successful FPV drones on the frontlines.
  • It will now be upgraded with the TFL-1 guidance module. According to The Fourth Law CEO Yaroslav Azhnyuk, the TFL-1 is the result of nearly two years of engineering work and has already been codified by NATO.
  • The machine-vision–based system operates on a fire-and-forget principle: after visual detection and lock-on, the onboard computer running AI algorithms assumes control and autonomously guides the drone to its target, even under electronic warfare conditions and radio jamming.

Vyriy CEO Oleksii Babenko stressed that minimizing the guidance module’s impact on the drone’s final price was a key objective. «And we managed to do it. The Vyriy-10-TFL-1 will cost only 18,500 UAH, which makes it very competitive even compared with a classic FPV drone,» Babenko said.

Both companies highlighted the importance of price in the context of Ukraine’s «E-points» system, the official rewards program for defenders who destroy Russian equipment or personnel. Accumulated points can be spent on the Brave1 marketplace, where one E-point is roughly equivalent to 10,000 UAH worth of equipment. Importantly, each confirmed target destroyed using a drone equipped with the guidance system earns troops an additional E-point.

«The use of our system has increased the effectiveness of drone strikes by 2–4 times, while raising costs by only about 10%. Given these results, we expect that within 6–9 months most frontline drones will be equipped with autonomy systems like this,» Azhnyuk noted.

Babenko added that a noticeable increase in successful strikes is expected as early as next month.

  • Vyriy Industries is a Ukrainian engineering firm and one of the country’s leading producers of combat unmanned systems. It focuses on war robotization technologies and makes extensive use of locally sourced components.
  • The Fourth Law (TFL / Четвертий Закон) develops autonomy technologies for drones and robotics. Its TFL-1 modules and autonomous drones are already in active use protecting Ukraine on the battlefield.
