Russia Strikes American Flex Factory in Mukachevo, 10 Injured

During the massive Russian missile strike on Ukraine on the night of August 21, a plant operated by American electronics manufacturer Flex was hit. Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, Andrii Sybiha, confirmed that the strike targeted American production. According to Scroll.media, the facility was struck by two cruise missiles in what appears to have been a deliberate attack.

Ten people were injured, all with moderate injuries, and have already been taken to medical facilities.

Authorities are still working to assess and repair the damage at the plant.

Ukraine hosts several such manufacturers, most of them located in Transcarpathia.

Flex’s Mukachevo plant was built 20 years ago and expanded in 2018. Today, the company employs 2,800 people across its Ukrainian facilities. Globally, Flex operates more than 100 sites in over 30 countries and ranks as the third-largest company in its segment by revenue, with around 148,000 employees.
