13 Ukrainian Startups Receive $475,000 in Grants from USF
Thirteen Ukrainian startups have secured a total of $475,000 in funding from the Ukrainian Startup Fund (USF), the organization reported.
The final pitch days of the Ukrainian Startup Fund (USF) grant program, supported by the Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund (UMAEF), took place on August 4, 5, and 6. Startups at the pre-seed and seed stages presented their projects to the jury, competing for grants of $25,000 and $50,000.
$25,000 Grant Winners (7 startups):
- SYLA — a bionic knee prosthesis powered by machine learning and AI, adapting to a user’s walking style for more natural movement.
- JobAtlas — a machine learning–driven platform that improves career planning by generating tailored recommendations based on labor market trends.
- Embraces (formerly InClinic) — an app that helps people with braces track their orthodontic progress, access educational content, and stay motivated through gamification.
- ReSelpMe — a white-label SaaS solution enabling dry cleaners to monetize idle capacity while retaining premium clients.
- Svitanok — a clinic offering world-class allergy care without leaving Ukraine, including a digital program for food allergy treatment.
- Romtos — a career pathway platform bridging the gap between education and practice for IT companies, students, and freelancers.
- ReMind — another AI-powered bionic knee prosthesis designed to adapt to different walking styles for more natural mobility.
$50,000 Grant Winners (6 Startups)
- VITA325 — a mobile rehabilitation app for people with motor disorders, combining self-monitoring, therapist support, and community engagement.
- Proste ZNO — an educational app helping school students prepare effectively for Ukraine’s NMT/ZNO exams and keep up with daily studies.
- LeadForceTalent — an AI recruiting platform that reduces hiring time from weeks to minutes.
- Cerco.ai — an AI-powered deal sourcing platform that aggregates data from dozens of sources, finds decision-makers with verified contacts, and launches cold outreach.
- Josti — an innovative proptech platform offering mid- to long-term rentals (1–12+ months) with zero realtor fees.
- Dots Platform — a software solution that helps restaurants, dark kitchens, and delivery services launch branded online ordering and delivery systems within days.
The USF noted that these August pitch days were the final rounds of this grant program. New opportunities for startups will be announced in the future.
As a reminder, the InClinic story illustrates the program’s value: the founder turned down a $20,000 investment offer to keep full control of the company, chose instead to compete for a grant, and won.
