Ukraine Launches Zbroya Platform for Arms Makers
Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense has unveiled Zbroya, a new online platform that centralizes key government services and opportunities for weapon and military equipment manufacturers.
«Our task is to simplify interaction between arms manufacturers and the state and to demonstrate our potential to partners. We are gathering all services and information about the Ukrainian defense industry in one place. This ecosystem will help speed up testing, scaling, and production of weapons,» said Deputy Minister of Defense Anna Gvozdiar.
What’s on the platform?
Zbroya serves as a single «entry point» for manufacturers, allowing them to access government services, programs, and critical information quickly. Among the available tools and opportunities:
- Preferential 5% loans of up to UAH 500 million — to scale production, purchase equipment and components, develop new projects, and bring them into serial production.
- Iron Test Site — a service for rapid testing of weapons and military equipment prototypes.
- Component Library — a secure database of component manufacturers across different categories of weapons.
- Made for Victory — a grant program supporting Ukrainian producers of military components, aimed at localizing production and reducing dependence on foreign suppliers.
- Brave1 — a grant program for startups, developers, and innovators building defense tech solutions.
- Employee reservation — for critical enterprises.
Beyond services, the platform offers educational opportunities to help manufacturers grow and scale their businesses. It features current job vacancies, including positions tailored for veterans interested in joining the defense industry.
The Ministry says Zbroya will soon be expanded with a regulatory framework for the defense industry, relevant news updates, and a leasing support program for acquiring production facilities, technology, and equipment.
Background
In July, the Ministry of Defense also launched DOT-Chain Defense, a weapons marketplace. UAH 1 billion was allocated for its testing.
