Ajax Systems has launched three new video surveillance cameras with hybrid illumination designed to solve one of the most common security challenges — capturing critical details in full color at night.

• The BulletCam HL, TurretCam HL, and DomeCam Mini HL combine infrared (IR) and white light to deliver vivid color images even in low-light conditions.
• According to Ajax, the new models offer sharper image quality, improved object recognition, and the ability to visually deter intruders, making them suitable for both residential and commercial use.

How It Works

• When motion or an object is detected, the cameras automatically switch from infrared to white light, capturing a color image instead of standard black-and-white. This makes it easier to identify vehicles, clothing colors, and other key details often lost in IR footage.
• The sudden activation of white light can also act as a deterrent, alerting intruders that they are under surveillance.

• Оброблення даних ШІ відбувається на рівні самої камери. Це забезпечує швидку реакцію і повну конфіденційність даних, а також усуває необхідність у додатковому обладнанні або передплаті.
• Користувачі можуть налаштувати приховані зони, щоб приховати певні частини кадру як з архівних записів, так і під час перегляду відео наживо. Наприклад, якщо в поле зору камери потрапляє сейф, його можна приховати, залишивши всі інші обʼєкти видимими для камери. Ця функція гарантує, що чутлива інформація залишатиметься повністю приватною.

• A 2.8 mm lens provides a wide 100°–110° viewing angle, ideal for open areas, while a 4 mm lens narrows the field to 75°–85° for enhanced detail in targeted zones.
• Models with 5 MP resolution balance clarity and efficiency, while 8 MP versions are best for situations requiring maximum detail.

• All cameras support True WDR for consistent image quality in challenging lighting, automatically adjusting brightness and contrast to reveal both shadow and highlight detail.
• Designed for durability, the cameras feature IP65 dust- and water-resistance, an IK08 impact rating, and can operate in outdoor or high-risk environments.
• Each unit includes a microSD slot supporting up to 256 GB of local storage, along with a built-in digital microphone supporting standard audio codecs (G.711 ULAW/ALAW, G.722, G.726).

In April, Ajax Systems also expanded its lineup with the IndoorCam, a Wi-Fi security camera equipped with an IR motion sensor.
